How publications happen: a case study

It started with a tweet.

So we checked out the Rap Coloring Book (or, to give it it’s full title, “Bun B’s Jumbo Coloring and Rap Activity Tumblr”), and it’s amazing. Curated by American rapper Bun B, it features the great and good of rap as drawn by illustrator Shea Serrano. They even have a book coming out. Here’s an example of the kind of thing they do.

Again: amazing.

So we got in touch.

And they loved the idea.

And now it’s live. An actual Little Printer publication containing 14 cut-out-and-keep editions to play with.

Here’s one we made earlier.

It is awesome. And it just goes to show what can happen if you spot something that might work as a Little Printer publication, and you let us know about it.
